Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where can I use The Beach Fire?

The Beach Fire must be used in dry, loose sand only. You should select a location where there will be minimal foot traffic after use to avoid the risk of injury. The Beach Fire should not be used in grassy, rocky, or moist ground. The burner unit must be properly buried while in use. The Beach Fire should be not used less than 10 feet from houses, porches, trees, or any other combustible materials.

2. Where can I buy a propane tank?

Propane tanks can be purchased at your local hardware and home repair stores.

3. How long will The Beach Fire burn?

A 20-pound gas tank will burn for approximately 5 hours of continuous use on a high flame. Adjusting the flame to a lower setting will allow for more hours of use.

4. Can I adjust the size of the flame produced?

Yes. The size of the flame is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the flow of gas to the burner. Gas flow is controlled by the silver needle valve at the end of the hose. Turning this valve counterclockwise will increase the height of the flame; clockwise will decrease the height of the flame

5. How long do I need to let The Beach Fire cool before I can move it?

We do not recommend removing The Beach Fire until it has completely cooled down to avoid being burned. The length of time it takes to cool depends upon how long you have burned the unit. Always be careful around hot objects and use common sense. Wear protective gloves. Do not step on hot sand.

6. Can I leave The Beach Fire in place all summer or for an extended period of time?

Yes. However, burner should be removed periodically (once a month) to inspect for rust, to remove debris around fittings, etc. The Beach Fire should not be left outside in rain, snow, or high winds. Propane tanks should always be removed and stored after each use. If you plan to leave The Beach Fire installed for a long period of time make sure to choose a location with no foot traffic so as to avoid personal injury to others.

7. Can I cook with The Beach Fire?

Yes! Check out The Beach Fire cooking accessories by selecting the Products menu from our home page. While The Beach Fire is ideal for roasting marshmallows and other food, it is not suitable for grilling large cuts of meat, fish, or vegetables. The Beach Fire was designed to produce a visually pleasing yellow flame that tends to produce more soot than a barbecue.

8. Can I burn wood on top of The Beach Fire?

No,
The Beach Fire is not intended to burn any solid materials or non-propane liquids.

9. Where can I have The Beach Fire serviced if it needs repair?
