About Us The idea for The Beach Fire came from years of experience enjoying time on the beach and working in the hearth products industry. It is designed, developed and marketed by Blazing Design, Inc. (www.blazingdesigninc.com), operated by Michael Van Buren.    Sand has long been used as a burner media for decorative gas logs. Outdoor gas fire pits have become more and more popular in recent years. The Beach Fire combines the two technologies and packs them into one portable, easy to use product for the beach.   The Beach Fire was born out of a volunteer effort assisting a non-profit group, the Haunted Forest (www.thehauntedforest.org) that runs an annual outdoor theater in October. The event combines outdoor theater, special effects, the magic of the night forest, and the spirit of Halloween to delight audiences of all ages. At each mini theater location scattered throughout the woods is a campfire. To assist in the daily start up of these camp fires, Blazing Design, Inc. provides propane gas fire starters that are placed in a bed of sand in the base of each fire pit.    These campfire starters were the beginning of what is now The Beach Fire. A prototype sand burner was built and sent to a friend who lives on the beach in Florida. After their first use they contacted us raving about the idea of the product and insisted that we go to market with it. Further testing and development followed to end up with the product presented to you; a compact, quality, simple unit ready for use.
